and installed a 189.12 kL cylindrical fire-water storage tank at Southgate Mall in Johannesburg South. The project required the tank to be assembled within a particularly confined services area, surrounded by existing buildings, pipework and mechanical infrastructure. Limited access, narrow working clearances and nearby pipework meant that every stage of the installation had to be carefully coordinated. Delivering a tank of this size into such a restricted footprint required an installation method that could accommodate the site instead of disrupting the surrounding infrastructure. ### The Videx Tanks Solution The modular construction of the Videx cylindrical tank allowed its components to be transported into the restricted area and assembled directly on the prepared foundation. The installation team progressively erected the Aluzinc shell, internal liner, roof-support structure, roof and access components within the available working space. The completed 189.12 kL tank makes effective use of the available footprint while providing Southgate Mall with dependable, purpose-built fire-water storage infrastructure.
