The company’s 50 000m² manufacturing facility is based in Wadeville, Germiston. We process over thousands of tonnes of steel products monthly and employ hundreds of people.
Videx is a TÜV accredited company and is affiliated with several industry bodies including the Automatic Sprinkler Inspection Bureau (ASIB), the Fire Engineers Association of South Africa (FEASA) and the Water Institute of Southern Africa (WISA).

Established in 1984, in a small workshop in Germiston, Videx started out as a manufacturer of small studs and bolts, primarily used in structural applications. Videx as has grown into a multifaceted Company (corporation) with divisions servicing the mining sector to water storage.
In the early 90’s Videx started its mining products division, which manufactures safety critical products, namely mining roof bolts and strata control systems. Videx’s constant drive to supply innovative, cost-effective products of the highest quality coupled with great customer service has elevated us, not only into an industry leader but has given us reputation within the mining sector as being an innovative solution provider.
With the ever-growing concerns around water supply, diversify into the water storage tanks seemed like the next logical step.
